The Port of Townsville is Queensland's third largest commercial Port, providing all of North Queensland with a world class gateway for commerce and trade. The entire Port community employs more than 7,000 local workers, and approximately ten million tonnes of cargo pass over the wharves each year.

Qudos System 3 has provided the Authority with a tool to manage its diverse range of management systems. These systems include quality assurance, occupational health and safety, environment, security, and risk.

Nigel Birch, Quality Assurance Officer at the Port of Townsville had this to say: "The benefits of using Qudos System 3 are very significant to our organisation. It has proven to be user friendly and extremely easy to maintain.

"Previously we had a very manual system for recording data, which involved many unco-ordinated databases. Now all our data is located in one database which enables management and operational employees to get a holistic picture of compliance and risk activities. Queensland Health is the public health service provider for the state of Queensland, Australia. Through a network of 38 Health Service Districts and the Mater Hospitals, Queensland Health delivers a range of integrated services including hospital inpatient, outpatient and emergency services, community and mental health services, aged care services and public health and health promotion programs.

For several years, Qudos has supplied compliance management software and training services to various units within Queensland Health. One such unit being Information Services - which has a multi-site installation of Qudos System 3.

Information Services is responsible for the planning, coordination and provision of information systems and services, including information technology and telecommunications, throughout Queensland Health.

Information Services is certified to ISO9001:2000, has a strong ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) focus, and will eventually be looking at certification to AS 8018 (ICT Service Management).

CHH Packaging cartons plants are certified to ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP by LRQA (Lloyds register). CHH is also a signatory to the National Packaging Covenant in Australia, a framework for effective management of the packaging life-cycle to minimise adverse environmental effects at every stage.

Qudos provides multi-user versions of Qudos System 2 (previously QM Database) software to CHH Packaging cartons plants in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney - as well as having a long-term relationship for management system development and training. These systems have evolved to incorporate a process-based approach, and major IT developments such as the introduction of SAP.

Qudos assisted Alcolizer with the initial development of its management system, and supplied Qudos System 3 software for its reporting and logging requirements.

The Illawarra Grammar School is a co-educational Anglican day school situated in the city of Wollongong NSW, catering for 1,100 students from Preparatory to Year 12. With a staff of more than 120 employees, the School has embarked on a pro-active approach to occupational health, safety and welfare for all staff, students, contractors and visitors to the site.

To ensure legislative compliance, the School engaged Qudos Management Pty Ltd to provide an e-software solution to manage and control documents, record risk assessments and follow up, record and report all accidents, incidents and near misses as well as provide 24/7 access to records for management and staff.

Bursar, Kathy Dickson states: "Qudos System 3 was introduced to all staff at our Professional Development day held at the commencement of Term 3, 2005. We had identified a gap in our risk management procedures and embarked on an education campaign to assist staff in completing risk assessments.

Given the unique nature of the risks associated with school-related activities including excursions both local and overseas, sporting activities, parking and traffic management, departmental experiments and major building projects, we were encouraged when our staff enthusiastically embraced the risk management module and completed more than 50 risk assessments as part of our PD activity.
